Financial Crime Manager - Advisory Role - Zurich
Working with one of the world's most successful advisory firms in Zurich you will provide compliance advice, oversight and support to clients and their compliance functions, in particular Financial Crime Compliance matters with specific focus on the operational side.
Assess organizations Compliance programs/processes against global applicable regulatory guidance, particularly Switzerland regulations such as (but not limited to) 2018/3 FINMA Circular Outsourcing - banks and insurers (21.09.2017), EU Directive 2015/849 4th Anti-Money Laundering Directive, EU/UN and US (OFAC) Sanctions Regulation.
You will assist clients to ensure compliance with laws, regulation and relevant standards, in particular with respect to Financial Crime Compliance as described above.
Support clients to ensure control and oversight over the clients relevant outsourced activities and services as required by local laws and regulations.
Design and facilitate in depth Anti-Financial Crime Frameworks, AML Risk Assessments, Sanctions Compliance Frameworks, Anti-Financial Crime Policies and Procedures (KYC/AML, Anti-Fraud, and OFAC Sanctions), Issue Management Frameworks, Ongoing Monitoring Plans and Scorecards, Training, and Exit Strategy Documentation.
Support clients to ensure compliance of their relevant Policies, Procedures and Manuals with local laws and regulation. In that respect you will review, draft and support implementation/roll out of the relevant policies and procedures.
Manage teams in performance of AML Risk Assessments, KYC Due Diligence Assessments, OFAC Sanctions Model Assessments and Fraud-Risk Assessments.
Help organisations assessing the impact, and support the implementation, of new Anti-Financial Crime regulations on their existing Compliance programs.
Assist clients regarding any regulatory queries and/ or investigations, audits, reviews and in the completion or resolution of related matters.
Lead motivated engagement teams in a dynamic environment, focused on finding opportunities to add value to our clients and teams and to yourself.
Work as an engagement manager in coordinating a network of international teams on your engagements, either in Switzerland, in Europe or even globally.
Assist in developing strategy and thought leadership related to Anti-Financial Crime Compliance and present Anti-Financial Crime recommended practices internally and or with your clients.
Able to enhance your skills in managing several stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects.
Receive regular feedback from colleagues and your coach and further build your leadership skills on and off the job.
Help to drive the business through regulatory advice, training and product support.
Develop your own relationships and regular liaison with your clients and other compliance risk functions of interest to ensure that your team is aware of all relevant material market developments.
Responsibility is to identify and analyse all new and relevant regulatory initiatives concerning Financial Crime Compliance to ensure all material matters are considered to support our clients at its best.
Ensure that all (new) products and services we provide are in compliance with relevant laws and regulation.
You have a university degree in accounting or the equivalent.
You have recently worked 4-6 years in the financial sector and have extensive experience working in the area of Anti-Financial Crime Compliance and/or Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).
You have a network of contacts with experience in Anti-Financial Crime Compliance across the globe.
You are strongly experienced in Anti-Financial Crime Compliance Program assessments, design enhancements, and execution with an ability to leverage lessons learned from prior engagements.
You have sound knowledge and practical experience of implementing global regulations (e.g. OFAC Sanctions Compliance, 4th AML Regulation) into processes, policies and procedures.
You are familiar with global regulations, including 2018/3 FINMA Circular Outsourcing - banks and insurers (21.09.2017), EU Directive 2015/849 4th Anti-Money Laundering Directive, EU/UN and US (OFAC) Sanctions Regulation.
You have experience facilitating Financial Crime Compliance related round table events for clients.
You have extensive experience assisting organizations in financial services, yet also have experience assisting organizations in other industries.
You have experience working with international teams on Compliance engagements.
You have extraordinary analytical skills and excellent interpersonal skills, which you demonstrate when working with your clients and teams.
You have excellent verbal and written English skills.
You coach your team members and can work effectively, efficiently and independently in a GRC environment.
